Tops at the Box Office

1. Megamind- $30.1M/$89.8M
Megamind's devious plot to stay at the top of the box office charts has worked again, only dropping 35% from last week. It's still trailing behind the similarly themed Despicable Me at the same point.
2. Unstoppable- $23.5M
Last year, Denzel Washington and Tony Scott teamed up for The Taking of Pelham 123, another train thriller. That film debuted almost exactly the same as this one at $23.4M. I wonder if the same folks who saw that went to see Unstoppable? If so then they must've been pleasantly surprised.
3. Due Date- $15.5M/$59M
I know it's an unfair comparison, but Todd Phillips' The Hangover had over $120M at this same point last year. Still this is an impressive first couple weeks for the roadtrip comedy.
4. Skyline- $11.7M
Here's hoping that the decision to not screen it for critics hurt their bottom line, but I doubt it. Even though this may not seem like that great of an opening, considering Skyline only cost $10M to make(according to Brett Ratner, anyway) they've already made up production costs. Prepare for a sequel.
5. Morning Glory- $9.62M/$12.2M
Getting off to an early start on Wednesday, the talk show comedy starring Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford got off to a sluggish start.
6. For Colored Girls- $6.75M/$30.9M
Ouch! Tyler Perry's man hating flick dropped a crushing 65% as dudes everywhere finally rebelled and refused to tag along with their girlfriends to see it. Good job, men.
7. Red- $5.11M/$79.8M
8. Paranormal Activity 2- $3.05M/$82M
9. Saw 3D- $2.75M/$43.5M
10. Jackass 3D- $2.3M/$115M
