First up is Relativity's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. Yeah, that title sucks, but I'm willing to bet that director Tarsem Singh(The Fall
) will turn it into gold. Word is they're keen on having Julia Roberts take up the mantle of the Evil Queen. At this stage she's a name on their probably lengthy list(I bet Charlize is on it too), so it's too early to tell just how serious this is. With Tarsem at the helm, expect this film to be more visually oriented, probably a bit darker in tone.And then there's Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman. We've heard for weeks that Charlize Theron was in talks, but now those discussions seem to have increased. The only thing standing in her way are other films she's also in line for, such as Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar Hoover biopic. She likely won't be able to fit both into her schedule. If she does indeed sign on, she'll likely be starring opposite Michael Fassbender, who appears to have taken the role of the Huntsman away from Tom Hardy. Hardy will be far too busy with John Hillcoat's The Wettest County in the World and The Dark Knight Rises to have time for anything else.
