Sure Shots: Paul Rudd/The Muppets; Chris Tucker returns; Iron Man 3

* Even though it's never been confirmed, one of the most persistent casting notes about The Muppets has been that Paul Rudd would voice the Iphone sporting Walter, the best friend to Jason Segel's character. I just sortof assumed it would work out that way. I mean...Paul Rudd...Muppets...seems like a perfect fit. But apparently it ain't happenin', as the actor told MTV that "I wanted to be in it, and I talked to Jason, but I think there was some things that happened and I don’t know if I’m gonna get to do it.” Hmmm, leaves the door open just a crack, doesn't it?

* The most overrated high grossing actor ever, Chris Tucker, is set to make his big screen return in The Rabbit, which appears to be yet another buddy comedy. This would be Tucker's first film since 2007's Rush Hour 3. Oh joy.

* We all know that Marvel's movie universe is turning into one big interlocking puzzle. What we don't know is just how they expect all this stuff to work out. In an interview with MTV, Iron Man director Jon Favreau says that Marvel expects Iron Man 3 to be a "sequel or continuation of Thor, Hulk, Captain America, and Avengers". What he doesn't say is if he'll be back to direct the film, which is already set for release in May 2013.
