I was obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid. From the moment a friend showed me the original Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird graphic novels I was hooked. Even when the cartoon came out and it was NOTHING like what I had been reading it was still pretty damn cool. I'll put the first week of the Ninja Turtles cartoon up against any of my other childhood favorites. Part of the reason it was so cool was the energetic, katana slicing intro, which made the Turtles look badass all the while filling your head with that catchy theme song. It wouldn't take much effort for me to recite it word for word.
One thing I didn't have any desire to do was re-enact the intro. If I had, it probably would've fared about as well as my talent show performance of the Fresh Prince's "Nightmare on My Street"(disastrous). Luckily some other dudes are just as Turtle obsessed as me, and far more adept at making videos than I ever was. They've managed to remake the entire intro for the TMNT cartoon shot-for-shot, and it's absolutely hilarious. I love their version of the Technodrome. Too awesome.
