flick out of my nose. THR is reporting that the Wachowskis, Andy and Lana, are looking to bring the classic tale back to theaters with 'Hood', a modern take on the story. The script is apparently already written with Joel Silver set to produce. Silver has produced all of the Wachowski's previous flicks, so that was a no-brainer. Reports are that the duo is reaching out to Will Smith for a possible starring role. I would say that this would mark the first time an African-American has ever portrayed Robin Hood in a film, but that would presume that this would be a typical production. Probably a mistake given the Wachowski's track record. If the film actually gets made(not a done deal at this point) expect it to be a vibrant, hyper kinetic experience and a complete 180 from the boring drek we saw this past summer.
