Method Man joins David Gordon Green's 'The Sitter'
It's been a long time since I've liked Method Man as a rapper, but as an actor? The guy is almost always a welcome addition to any cast, even in movies you'd least expect him to make any sense in, like Garden State and The Wackness. Now he's got a role in David Gordon Green's other 2011 comedy, The Sitter.
Of course the main Gordon Green film on most people's radars right now is Your Highness, the medieval comedy starring James Franco, Danny McBride, and Natalie Portman. The Sitter might not have the star power of that movie but I expect there'll be some pretty decent laughs. It stars Jonah Hill as a loser-type who gets roped into a babysitting gig he's clearly not equipped to handle. He takes his three young charges on a crosstown mission to score drugs for his girlfriend, which goes disastrously wrong as you'd expect.
No word yet on what Method Man's role will be. He'll be joining Hill, Max Records(The Brothers Bloom), J.B. Smoove(Curb Your Enthusiasm), the sexy Ari Graynor(Holy Rollers), and Sam Rockwell is attached for a role as one of the drug dealers.
Look for The Sitter when it drops into an already crowded summer on July 15th 2011!
