1st poster for Brave, Pixar's first original fairy tale

I'm going to hold my tongue on the reactions to Pixar's latest sequel, Cars 2, saving that for my review and our show on Sunday. Undoubtedly two of the coolest parts of the screening came before the film itself. Not only did we get the great Toy Story short film, Hawaiian Vacation, but we also got the trailer for Brave. What's Brave? It's Pixar's first original fairy tale. Formerly titled The Bear and the Bow, and it follows a Scottish princess who breaks a sacred custom and throws her kingdom into chaos. In an attempt to fix things, she makes a wish that doesn't turn out so hot.  We've seen some concept art already, but now we have the first teaser poster for the film, due out on June 22nd.

I hope you can see it just by this image but the animation Pixar is using is unlike anything they've done before, which makes since considering this is new territory for them storywise. It's darker, more adult in appearance, and has a magical slant Pixar's never really explored. Featuring the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters and Kevin McKidd.
