Ok, now we're starting to get to the really important members of Bilbo's entourage accompanying him on the quest to defeat the dragon, Smaug. Peter Jackson has released the first images of two of the main dwarves, Balin and his younger brother Dwalin, played by Ken Stott and Graham McTavish.
Balin is one of the most important dwarves not just in
The Hobbit
, but he's mentioned in
The Lord of the Rings 
as well. Frodo and the rest of his party discovered Balin's tomb in the Chamber of Mazarbul as they're being attacked by orcs.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters on December 14th 2012. Here's hoping Thorin Oakenshield is the next character image released.
