Sean Bean is the King in Tarsem Singh's untitled Snow White film
When you need someone to play a medievel figure of status and power, Sean Bean is probably the first place you're going to turn. The Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings star is set to do it one more time as Variety reports he'll play the King in Tarsem Singh's untitled Snow White film.
He'll join Julia Roberts as the evil queen, Lily Collins as Snow White, and Armie Hammer as the prince. The film has been in direct competition with Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, with the two playing a game of release date chicken for months. Ultimately, Relativity took charge by moving the film way up to March 16th 2012. That doesn't give Tarsem a lot of time to get all his pieces in order. His version, which was once titled The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, will stick mostly to the source material.
It's been a busy few months for Bean. He's been getting rave reviews for his performance as Eddard Stark in Game of Thrones. Over the last couple of years he's also been active on the big screen, featured in all three of the Red Riding movies, playing Zeus in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, and also the straight-to-DVD Death Race sequel.
