Sure Shots: Tom Hardy; American Reunion; Justin Timberlake gets Fully Automatic

* David Yates must be on top of the world right now. He's spent the last few years at the helm of the  biggest movie franchise of all-time with Harry Potter, and now he's finding himself free to pursue projects of a vastly different nature. One such project is Cicero, a gangster film Yates was attached to earlier in the year. The story by Walon Green(The Wild Bunch) would follow the rise of Al Capone, and Warner Brothers(who must be loving Yates right now) are envisioning it as a possible trilogy. Tom Hardy, another WB favorite, is being looked at the for the lead role. [Vulture]

* While practically every single castmate who has appeared in any of the three American Pie films has been approached and agreed to be a part of American Reunion, there was one noticably absent: Natasha Lyonne. Until now that is, as the troubled actress has agreed to reprise her role as Jessica in the R-rated comedy, which sees the gang reuniting for their 10-year high school reunion. Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg(Harold and Kumar Escape from Quantanamo Bay) are directing.

* Justin Timberlake is attached to star in Fully Automatic, a buddy cop actioner said to be in the vein of Lethal Weapon. Joel Silver is producing, and at one time Wayne Kramer(The Cooler, Running Scared) was attached to direct but that fell through. Marc Wolff wrote the latest version of the script, which has the former member of N'Sync as one of two rookie cops teaming up with an ex-Delta Force member to stop a mercenary. Generic much? [Vulture]
