Considering she's been voted one of the 50 Greatest Female Characters in Video Game History, I'm surprised Ada Wong hasn't been worked into any of Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil movies already. Better late than never, I guess, as star Milla Jojovich revealed on Twitter that Chinese actress Li Bingbing(Snow Flower and the Secret Fan) has been cast in the role as part of Resident Evil: Retribution.
She'll join Jojovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr and Kevin Durand in the film which brings back a number of long dead franchise veterans. Bingbing, who I thought was amazing in the little seen Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, also has a role in Jackie Chan's upcoming war film, 1911.
Filming is currently underway in Toronto, set for release on September 14th 2012.
