Sandra Bullock may join Clint Eastwood in Trouble With the Curve
The last time Sandra Bullock tried her hand at a sports drama, it was in a little film you may have heard of called The Blind Side. She won a Best Actress award for the role, and maybe she thinks why not go to the well one more time making a sports movie that's not really about sports? Twitch reports that Bullock has entered talks to star opposite Clint Eastwood in his next, and presumably last, acting gig in Trouble With the Curve.
Directed by Robert Lorenz, Eastwood's longtime producer and friend, the story centers on an aging baseball scout who is slowly going blind, but heads off for one final road trip with his daughter to check out a prospect. Bullock would play the daughter, and it's probably safe to assume the two won't be on the best of terms.
This could be an even meatier role for Bullock, who has been sorta quiet since The Blind Side. She's got a couple of big time projects coming up, though. The first is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, starring Tom Hanks, which should be out in December and is already generating Oscar talk. The next is Alfonso Cuaron's troubled, long in the works sci-fi epic, Gravity, alongside George Clooney.
