Liam Hemsworth to star in Timeless, directed by Philip Noyce

Liam Hemsworth isn't exactly trailing behind his big bro, Chris, in the franchise department. While Chris has Thor, The Avengers, and Snow White and the Huntsman locked down for the next few years, Liam has the wildly popular The Hunger Games coming up. And let's not forget The Expendables 2, which if he survives promises to be around for a long time....assuming those old fogeys surrounding him don't get put in a home somewhere. So he'll be pretty darn busy in the coming years as well, but there's still time to add more.

Moviehole reports that he'll star in Timeless, the film Philip Noyce(Salt) dumped directing Hunter Killer for. The story centers on a recently widowed husband(Hemsworth) who discovers that his wife left him a fortune. Racked by their unresolved issues, he decides to use the money to build a time machine so he can go back and see her one final time. The script was written by Bill Kelly, who gave us the surprisingly good romantic fantasy, Enchanted.

I guess if movies like The Time Traveler's Wife and The Lake House turn me into a puddle of goo, I don't have the right to snort at this, either. It actually sounds pretty good, so we'll see how the rest of the cast shapes up. By the time this comes out, Liam will be awash in post-Hunger Games buzz, so expect Timeless to use that to their advantage.
