Mary Elizabeth Winstead is freaking out in new clip from The Thing

I have some serious doubts about this prequel to John Carpenter's The Thing, mainly due to the studio's non-existent marketing of the film. They're trying hard in these last couple of weeks before the October 14th release, but does anyone think there's been enough of a push, especially considering how beloved Carpenter's film is to horror fanatics? It doesn't instill me with a lot of confidence, but I have to admit the latest footage we've seen has been solid. The CGI looks good at times(sloppy in others), and I'm already diggin' the claustrophobia of being stuck in that facility with an unseen monster.  I'll trust in my homie Jack Giroux of FilmSchoolRejects, who says it's a pretty good film with a strong finishing act. Ok, I'm in.

For now, though, let's feast on this new clip which shows uber-hottie Mary Elizabeth Winstead freaking out in a room full of buff dudes, one of which may be the monster itself....

The Thing is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Eric Christian Olsen, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
