Perhaps even moreso than Saw, the Hostel franchise epitomizes the very definition of "torture porn". Why? Because the Saw franchise at least attempted to grow beyond that initial label, while Hostel has embraced it through two flicks. Directed by Eli Roth, the stories basically involve poor, unfortunate folks who get involved with the Elite Hunting club, who get their jollies torturing their victims in the most heinous of ways.
Well, Roth isn't coming back for Hostel III. This straight-to-DVD effort is spear headed by Scott Spiegel, one of the producers on the previous flicks. This one follows a group of rowdy friends attending a bachelor party in Vegas, and wind up the unwilling guests of the Elite Hunting club. It stars Kip Pardue(The Rules of Attraction), Skyler Stone, Thomas Kretschmann(King Kong), and Sarah Habel. Check out the trailer below, and look for it to hit store shelves on December 27th...
Nope, not a single hostel in the whole movie. At least it doesn't appear to be. Looks kinda weak, but this is a pretty short preview.
