The days of spoof trailers are over. The Muppets are actually showin' us what they got, and what they got is....fart shoes and singing chickens? Bring it. This is by far the best glimpse at what's in store when the film hits, including a proper introduction to the newest Muppet, Walter. And Chris Cooper's evil crew of anti-Muppets has a name, the Moopets.
Directed by James Bobin(Flight of the Conchords), and written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, the film sees Kermit and the rest of the gang doing whatever they have to do in order to save Muppet Theater from destruction. The problem? Well, nobody really seems to care about the Muppets anymore, hence poor Kermit being mistaken for one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Expect about a billion celebrity cameos here, joining stars Amy Adams, Segel, and Rashida Jones. Check out the new trailer below...
