And I thought it was awesome to see the great Werner Herzog directing an insane Nic Cage in Bad Lieutenant, now I get to see him in front of the camera battling Tom Cruise. This is such an inspired choice I think I just pooped myself with excitement.
Variety reports the eccentric filmmaker will play the villain in One Shot, the adaptation of Lee Child's novel featuring Cruise as military man turned drifter, Jack Reacher. Chrstopher McQuarrie(Valkyrie) wrote and will direct the story involving a deep conspiracy kicked off by a sniper's murder of five people.
Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo, Alexia Fast, Richard Jenkins, and Jai Courtney co-star. This makes me more curious about the role of Robert Duvall,who joined up only a few days ago.
I've said it before and I continue to agree with myself that One Shot sounds completely shitty on it's face, but the surrounding cast is out of this world. February 8th 2013 needs to get here already.
