New 'Safe House' poster, starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington

Ryan Reynolds is probably breathing a deep sigh of relief right now. Why? After two  critical and studio-crushing duds like Green Lantern and The Change-Up, he's got a Denzel Washington movie right around the corner. Denzel is like that ace pitcher on a major league baseball team. The slump-buster.  Denzel has proven to be remarkably reliable over the course of his career, even when he's putting out mind-numbing schlock like Unstoppable and The Taking of Pelham 123Safe House looks a hell of a lot better than those two films, so the potential for Reynolds to be a part of a genuine hit should have him smiling from ear to ear.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa(Snabba Cash) making his American debut, the film centers on the most wanted man in the CIA(Washington) who has been brought into custody after years on the run. Taken to a safe house in South Africa overseen by young house-sitter(Reynolds), they soon come under attack by mercenaries and must escape, but in order to stay alive they'll have to work together.  Brendan Gleeson, Joel Kinnaman, Vera Farmiga, Sam Shepard, Liam Cunningham, and Robert Patrick co-star.

Universal has released a brand new poster for the action thriller, prior to it's release on February 10th! [Comingsoon]
