Scott Eastwood joins his old man in 'Trouble with the Curve'
How cool must it be to be the son of Clint Eastwood? Not only is your dad a living legend with Hollywood connections that can help out your own fledgling acting career, but the old guy's words carry so much weight he can cause a national freak out over a harmless Super Bowl ad. Now as pops prepares for what may be his final time in front of the camera, Scott Eastwood will get a chance to appear alongside him in Trouble with the Curve.
Directed by Robert Lorenz, the baseball drama has Clint starring as an aging scout with deteriorating eyesight who goes on one final road trip with his daughter to check out a hot prospect. Amy Adams plays his daughter, while Justin Timberlake is an ex-pitcher and potential love interest. John Goodman and Matthew Lillard co-star, with Scott Eastwood appearing as a slumping minor league player discovered by Clint's character who continues to have faith in him.
Scott has appeared in a few movies already, mostly in stuff directed by his father. He's branching further out on his own, though, with upcoming roles in Leatherface 3D and the surfer flick Of Men and Mavericks.
Turnaround on this one should be pretty quick, with a September 28th release date planned. [Variety]
