Trailer Time: 'Pusher', produced by Nicolas Winding Refn

The idea of remaking Nicolas Winding Refn's debut film, Pusher, is a valiant one. I would say it's actually a good idea, since nobody saw his stylish, energetic trilogy and now's a pretty good time considering his post-Drive popularity. There's just one little problem: Refn isn't directing the remake. Luis Prieto is, and despite the pumpin' house soundtrack, the new trailer makes it look like something Guy Ritchie would've done ten years ago.

Richard Coyle stars as Frank, a mid-level drug pusher who sees his happy-go-lucky world of hot chicks and swanky night clubs go to hell when a deal goes belly up. Random, foreign thugs start to get angry looking for payback, bullets fly, threats are made, and you know the rest. Model/actress Agyness Deyn co-stars, but if there's a genuine bright spot it's the return of Zlatko Buric reprising his role as Milo, the bakery loving Serbian drug lord.

Not sure when this will be released, but it's expected to land some time later this year. Check out the trailer below....
