You have no idea how disappointed I was to see Anthony Stewart Head wasting away in an uninspiring bit role in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Giles deserves better than that! The man who trained Buffy to be the slayingest vampire slayer ever deserves better than that! Hopefully he'll be treated with a bit more respect as part of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
With Pierce Brosnan obviously feeling like playing a half man, half horse is a step down at this stage of his career, Head will now be taking over the Chiron role. Chiron is a mentor of sorts to Percy(Logan Lerman), running Camp Half-Blood where demigods are trained in the use of their abilities.
Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, and Jake Abel will be returning for the sequel to 2010's Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, joined by newcomers Douglas Smith, Nathan Fillion, Mary Birdsong, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Missi Pyle. Directed by the awesomely named Thor Freudenthal, the film is set to open on March 27th 2013. [THR]
