Emboldened by the resoundingly positive response to the first trailer for Dark Shadows, Warner Brothers has been on a marketing tear lately. The latest coming in the form of nine, flashy new character posters introducing us to the quirky, extensive clan of newly released vampire, Barnabas Collins(Johnny Depp).
The only fear I have is that Burton's movies have such a distinctive look and tone that they all tend to make great trailers. Even Charlie and the Chocolate Factory looked great, and it was basically a chocolate covered disaster. Here's hoping the ridiculous costumes, bizarre goth humor, and fish out of water antics translate when the film opens on May 11th.
