It might seem counter-intuitive that a film under as heavy a shroud as Prometheus would get not one, not two, but three trailers released within the span of a weekend. There's the understandable possibility of some Prometheus overload. Too much information too fast! But before shutting yourself off to any more info on Ridley Scott ambitious sci-fi flick, check out the latest UK trailer and get a slightly different view.
The new trailer released today features a much more relaxed tone than before, aided by a softer soundtrack that I think adds to the overall mystery. Then it all explodes into sh*t around the halfway point and draws even closer ties to the Alien mythos Scott and writer Damon Lindelof keep trying to pull themselves away from.
