Do we even know what the plot of G.I. Joe: Retaliation is? I was thinking about that the other day and realized we know less about it than we do practically any other movie coming out this year. And it's not as if it's being held secret or anything. We just don't care. It's friggin' G.I. Joe! Blow sh*t up! Oooh, ninjas fighting on mountains and sh*t! Bruce Willis looking not old! The Rock's muscles on top of muscles! Adrienne Palicki's rack!
What we've been able to surmise from the influx of martial arts related characters into the mix is that this story will deal pretty heavily with the old grudge between Snake-Eyes(Ray Park), Storm Shadow(Lee Byung-hun), and their Arashikage Clan. There's also something in there about Cobra launching nukes at innocent civilians or something, and G.I. Joe possibly being framed as traitors. In other words, nothing different than what we saw in the cartoon every afternoon after school.
Total Film has unveiled a new image of Snake-Eyes, with a much sleeker and sensible costume than last time. G.I. Joe: Retaliation stars Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum(forget he was in this?), Bruce Willis, Adrienne Palicki, Ray Park, Lee Byung-hun, Rza, DJ Cotrona, Elodie Yung, Ray Stevenson, and Arnold Vosloo. The Jon Chu directed action pic will invade theaters on June 29th!
