The Avengers is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are forced together into a tumultuous unit to combat a global threat posed by Thor's brother, Loki, and the alien army at his command.
