Christopher Nolan needs to step his game up. More accurately, the marketing boys behind The Dark Knight Rises need to, because they've fallen behind the 8-ball when compared to what's being done over in the Prometheus camp. Mere days before we get a new trailer to premier before Marvel's The Avengers, a new viral campaign has been launched over at the official website, and if you ask me it's hella weak.
Basically what we're treated to are a number of images of evidence from the "Anonymous Vigilante Investigation", which is the unit designed to track down Batman. The film takes place nearly a decade after The Dark Knight, and Batman is still a wanted man on the run. Why would anybody be intrigued by any of this? We already know the basic elements of the plot, right? That Commissioner Gordon(Gary Oldman) will be pleading for Batman's return to help stop a larger threat? So what does this stuff add to the mystery? Not much.
