Rihanna to appear in Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel's 'The End of the World'

If you thought Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel's big screen version of the internet viral short, Jay and Seth vs. Apocalypse, would just be one big sausage fest of celebrity cameos, then you're sadly mistaken.  With an Apatow-friendly cast lined up to appear in the apocalyptic comedy, the film has just added a serious shot of pop music estrogen.

Now titled The End of the World, the Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg directed film will feature a huge guest list, including James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Aziz Ansari, and Danny McBride, trapped in Franco's house as the earth is destroyed just outside. While talking with MTV, Franco revealed that he was close to starring in Rihanna's latest video, but that she has a "little part" in the film, where Franco can presumably continue pursuing his own celebrity crush.

What she'll be doing is anybody's guess, but the guys once posited the idea of big time stars turning up just as corpses. That'd qualify as a little part, right? Looks like Battleship may have bitten Rihanna with the acting bug, so if you're sick of seeing her now it's only going to get worse.

The End of the World arrives on June 14th 2013.
