Scott Derrickson Talking to Edgar Ramirez About 'Doctor Strange' Role

Edgar Ramirez has come a long way since his nearly-silent role opposite Keira Knightley in Domino. His role in the Oliver Assayas' Carlos earned him awards, and he's been a part of some big franchises in Wrath of the Titans and The Bourne Ultimatum. Soon he'll be seen as military leader Simon Bolivar in The Liberator, but before that he'll be seen in Deliver Us From Evil, the upcoming horror from Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson. And because of that, Ramirez was obviously going to get asked whether he's got a role in the Marvel movie, to which he responded to IGN like this...

Ramirez: "We're talking. We've been talking,"

Okay, not a lot to go on but it's enough to send the Internet into a tizzy of guesswork. Would it be for the title role? Maybe as one of Doctor Strange's villains? Surely he couldn't play Wong, right?  Oh wait, IGN is already speculating he could be up for bad guy Baron Mordo.  He would actually make for a very interesting and capable Strange, and would fit into Marvel's penchant for casting smaller names to play major characters.
