Trailer Time: 'This is Forty', starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann

In Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, the comic misadventures of Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl's silly relationship was balanced by the very real ordeals suffered by married couple, Pete(Paul Rudd) and Debbie(Leslie Mann). Stuck in a terminal rut, and falling further out of touch with another, they appeared to be headed for divorce, but eventually patched things up. That was just one small hurdle in getting back on the right track, and clearly a lot of problems still need to be dealt with if their marriage is going to survive.

Judd Apatow is seeking to explore those issues in This is Forty, which has Pete and Debbie a bit further along in their marriage, and headed for that life limbo known as "middle age". The first trailer for the spin off has been released, and we see that hitting 40 has driven an even larger wedge in their relationship. Debbie has become more motivated than ever to be a better mom, while also recapturing her youthful vigor and good looks. Pete...well, he's just as lost as ever. Apatow seems to be back on his horse after the disappointing Funny People, finding the right balance between tough, real life issues and humor told from his unique perspective. We also get a peek at the incredible supporting cast, including Jason Segel as a trailer who clearly has eyes on Debbie, and Melissa McCarthy as an angry parent with boundary issues.  Megan Fox, Lena Dunham, Albert Brooks, Chris O'Dowd, Charlyne Yi, and John Lithgow co-star.

This is Forty arrives on December 21st. Check out the trailer below....
