Batman's Tumbler and Bat-Pod roll into Washington, DC's National Harbor!

Continuing the vigorous marketing push for the July 20th release of The Dark Knight Rises, Batman's vehicles of choice, the awesome Tumbler and the Bat-Pod cycle, rolled into Washington, DC's National Harbor today as part of a nationwide tour. The event was held near FreshFM's "Living Flag" project honoring the Wounded Warriors for Memorial Day Weekend. Fans were able to get an up close look and snap photos of both, while also receiving temporary tattoos, posters, and other items related to the upcoming film. Fans who attended and took pictures alongside the vehicles can tweet those images with hashtag #TumblerTour and may be a part of the online gallery promoting the continuing event. The coast-to-coast tour rolls on from here to Baltimore, MD, before wrapping up the journey on July 7th in Los Angeles. Before you ask, no I wasn't the only one there dorky enough to rock a Batman shirt, but mine was the only one that featured a dead Boy Wonder. So I win.

The Tumbler and Bat-Pod have been an integral part of Batman's fight through the first two of Christopher Nolan's movies, and will be featured prominently in The Dark Knight Rises. The Tumbler has been a part of all three movies, while the Bat-Pod was introduced during Batman's epic clash against the Joker in The Dark Knight.
