Lenny Kravitz the latest to join Lee Daniels' 'The Butler'

Fresh off the news that Nicole Kidman would be re-teaming with Lee Daniels for The Butler, we're now learning from Deadline that another Daniels fave is coming aboard. Lenny Kravitz, who had his big breakout in Precious just a couple of years ago, is reportedly part of the cast as well.  His role is unclear at this stage, but he'll be joining an impressive cast which includes Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan, Matthew McConaughey as John F. Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, and Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan.

Danny Strong(Game Change) wrote the script, which tells the true story of White House butler, Eugene Allen, who spent decades serving multiple Presidents and watching the evolution of the civil rights movement. Kravitz is just coming off his biggest film yet as part of The Hunger Games. Presumably he'll be back to play Cinna in Catching Fire once production gets rolling on that.

The Butler is set to get rolling in July.
