Sure Shots: 'X-men: First Class 2'; 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'; Joseph Gordon-Levitt

* I'm sure Matthew Vaughn is thanking his lucky stars. After being crammed into a rushed shoot for last year's X-men: First Class, 20th Century Fox is being nice and giving him a bit more breathing room. They've set the Golden Age mutant sequel for release on July 18th 2014. All of the principle cast is expected to return.

* Another blockbuster sequel will be hitting theaters two summers from now, with the sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes swinging in on May 23rd 2014. Newly titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the film will have Rupert Wyatt back behind the camera, in a story that hopefully will have the planet dominating chimps learning how to talk. But what about James Franco? Any chance he'll be back?

* We're starting to learn more about the Wachowski's super secret sci-fi film, Jupiter Ascending...and it sounds kinda like Snow White and the Huntsman, only with universal ramifications. If the rumor from Vulture is true, Mila Kunis will play a Russian immigrant who posessess the same genetic perfection as the Queen of the universe, and so is considered a threat. A bounty hunter, played by Channing Tatum, is dispatched to take her out, but instead falls in love with her. There's some other mumbo jumbo about humanity evolving with animals and blah blah blah, but really...this doesn't sound all that inspired. We'll see what happens, but apparently Joseph Gordon-Levitt may be getting an offer to join soon. Wha?
