"Let the games begin!" Exciting new footage from 'The Dark Knight Rises'!

If you managed to stomach Russell Brand long enough, then the end of tonight's MTV Movie Award provided you with a real treat worth waiting for. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, and Christian Bale stepped on stage to re-introduce us to the greatness that has been Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, paying homage to Heath Ledger along the way. Finally, after all was said and done, Nolan himself arrived to introduce some new, never-before-seen footage from The Dark Knight Rises. If there were ever any doubts that the film might not live up to the hype, then this was designed to put all of that to rest once and for all.

The clip begins with a tense conversation between Selina Kyle aka Catwoman(Anne Hathaway) and John Blake(Joseph Gordon-Levitt), as he grills her over her criminal past and associations with Batman(Christian Bale) and Bane(Tom Hardy). We then see an image of Bane, Batman's broken mask, and a number of scenes with the villain making an example out of some poor schmuck in a suit.  We also get some brief scenes of Batman and Catwoman working together, but the footage of this footage is clear. As it wraps back around to more of Catwoman being interrogated, Blake asks her "What do you know about him"? Her response is simply, "That you should be as afraid of him as I am".

At no point do we know to whom she's referring. Is it Bane? Or is it Batman? You would think the villain would be the one to fear, but in Batman's desperation to win has he perhaps gone too far? The questions continue to swirl, and apparently we'll get 2hours and 45 minutes worth of answers when The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th. Check out the new footage below...[PerezHilton]
