Oh my. With The Avengers still breaking box office records in theaters right now, Marvel isn't wasting any time stepping into the next phase, both on a theatrical front and in terms of home entertainment. We already know that The Avengers will be landing on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 25th, but an interesting tease has popped up today.
Amazon is teasing an incredible 10-Disc Blu-Ray collection titled 'Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One-Avengers Assembled'. The limited edition set will include:
• Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray)
• The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray)
• Iron Man (Blu-ray)
• Bonus Disc - “The Phase One Archives” (Blu-ray)
• Collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe
There's no release date set at this point, but we'll probably find out the answers on July 15th, when the tease says that whatever is underneath that S.H.I.E.L.D. cloth in the above image will be revealed. It looks like the collection's packaging will resemble the briefcase that Nick Fury was lugging the Tesseract around in.
