Just a few days ago we learned that Michael Davis(Shoot 'Em Up) would be directing a live-action film based on Tow Ubukata's popular Mardock Scramble novels. While that's pretty cool in and of itself, the anime movies are still pretty kick ass, and the final film in the trilogy is set to be released in Japan on September 29th.
Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust follows the continuing adventures of Rune Ballot, a slain prostitute turned cyborg warrior on the hunt for those responsible for her death. The first trailer for the film has been released, and it seems to have Rune playing more hands of poker than doing any actual fighting. There's no dialogue, but it's backed by an energetic, operatic score, and the animation is gorgeous as usual. Check out the trailer below....
