Justin Long to star in 'The 10 O'Clock People'

Justin Long is nothing if not diverse. He may always be best considered as a comedic actor, but his big break came in Jeepers Creepers, and he also starred co-starred in Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell. Both very good movies, and Long was a large part of their success. Now he'll venture back into the genre by joining Tom Holland's adaptation of Stephen King's The Ten O'Clock People.

Holland is no stranger to King films, as he's previously adapted the author's horror novels, Thinner and The Langoliers. The Ten O'Clock People was part of King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes collection of short stories, and unlike most of his other stories, it was set in Boston, MA rather than the usual Maine. Long would play the lead character, Brandon Peterson, who in attempting to kick his smoking habit uncovers a frightening and unknown aspect of reality.

Filming is set to begin this September. Before then, we'll see Long in the Ari Graynor comedy, For A Good Time Call...., which opens on August 31st. [Deadline]
