Dreamworks Animation has released a new trailer for their animated adventure film, Rise of the Guardians. The teaser released back in March was merely an introduction to what looks to be an inventive fairy tale spin on classic characters such as Santa Claus(Alec Baldwin), the Tooth Fairy(Isla Fisher), the Easter Bunny(Hugh Jackman), the Sandman(Tom Kenny), and Jack Frost(Chris Pine). This fuller trailer gives a richer look at the journey they undertake to stop the villainous Pitch(voiced by Jude Law), as well as the occasionally contentious relationship between these mythical icons.
Rise of the Guardians is directed by Peter Ramsay, and is co-written by David Lindsay-Abaire(Rabbit Hole) and William Joyce, who authored the Guardians of Childhood novels from which the film is based. I think this has a good chance of unseating Pixar's Brave as the top animated film we see this year. Look for it to hit theaters in 3D on November 21st....
