Brutal new red band trailer for RZA's 'The Man with the Iron Fists'

If there's one movie that might be able to match Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained in terms of sheer awesomeness of cast, energy, and vision, it's RZA's The Man with the Iron Fists. The film, which began as just a little twinkle in the Wu-Tang Clan founder's eye back in 2005, looks like the perfect fusion of RZA's love of hip hop and the wild, acrobatic kung fu flicks of the past.

As if the first eye-popping(literally) trailer wasn't violent enough, a new red band one has been released and it makes that one look tame by comparison. RZA stars as a renowned Blacksmith in an ancient Chinese village, who uses his unique gifts to transform into a human weapon to defend his town from an invading faction. RZA not only makes his directorial debut, but he co-wrote the script with Eli Roth, whose gift for dark humor is apparent, especially in some of the trailer's closing scenes. After working with Russell Crowe on American Gangster and The Next Three Days, RZA got him to star as a mysterious gun fighter named Jack Knife. The rest of the cast is an impressive international mix, with Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Dave Bautista, Rick Yune, Pam Grier, Daniel Wu, and Cung Le all a part of the action.

The Man with the Iron Fists will pound its way into theaters on November 2nd....
