Kristen Stewart still in 'Snow White and the Huntsman' follow-up plans

Well, we told you not to believe those stories that Universal had dropped Kristen Stewart from their future Snow White and the Huntsman plans, and now we're seeing why. One day after the word broke that the studio was looking at two options for following up the summer hit, with one including a spinoff focusing solely on Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character, Universal has released a statement to Deadline that denies Stewart is no longer involved. Here's what Universal co-chair Donna Langley had to say....

Langley: “We are extremely proud of 'Snow White And The Huntsman' and we’re currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false.”

It was THR that took the Stewart story and ran with it, with many other outlets riding on their coattails. So basically, nothing has changed since yesterday except that Deadline gets another chance to do a little gloating. Universal is still unsure what direction to go in, deciding between a sequel or a spinoff. David Koepp is off the project, whatever form it takes, and Rupert Sanders may still come back to direct.

So after all this drama, are you excited for more Snow White and the Huntsman?
