Wait...how can a movie be described as The Notebook meets The Lucky One and nobody call the ad guys out on their foolishness? Wasn't The Lucky One like The Notebook meets The Lucky One? Whatever, that's how they're trying to push Love and Honor, which a sappy looking romance that has Liam Hemsworth as a Vietnam vet who gets to make out with Teresa Palmer. That's worth going AWOL for, definitely.
Directed by Danny Mooney, the apparently true story has Hemsworth as a soldier serving in Vietnam who goes AWOL back to America to help his buddy reconnect with the girlfriend who just dumped him. Along the way, Hemsworth, who in this trailer comes off as a total ass hat, finds love for the first time with a girl played by the smokin' hot Teresa Palmer. Crushingly melodramatic and tonally all over the map, there's probably a damn good reason why nobody has picked this movie up for distribution yet, despite Hemsworth's current success in The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2.
