America gets hit hard in the new 'Red Dawn' clip
Red Dawn was always kind of an absurd film, even back in the 1984 Brat Pack version. America's not getting invaded by anybody. Least of all North Korea, although the remake initially had China as the invading force, but we owe the Chinese too much and changes had to be made. Can't go offending such a huge market! Anyway, it's still a little silly to see the U.S. military caught with its pants down and a fleet of bombers overhead in this latest clip.
Silly as it may be, the buzz surrounding Red Dawn has been strong, and to be fair the film looks like a fun, action-packed throwback. Chris Hemsworth, Isabel Lucas, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, and Connor Cruise suit up and defend their hometown when those evil Koreans take over. If anything, this clip shows just how immediate and urgent the film is going to be, as Hemsworth barely rolls off the couch before he and his brother are speeding away looking for something to shoot at.
Red Dawn is directed by Dan Bradley and opens on November 21st.....[AICN]
