Chloe Moretz out, Isabelle Fuhrman in for 'The Wilderness of James'

Late last month we learned that Chloe Moretz was circling a lead role in writer/director Michael Johnson's feature debut, the indie drama The Wilderness of James. At the time it seemed like she'd be able to fit it in before Kick-Ass 2 got underway, but that wasn't the case and Moretz has been forced to drop out. Fortunately, Isabelle Fuhrman was there to step up and take advantage of the situation.

Deadline reports that Fuhrman, best known for terrorizing Vera Farmiga in Orphan, will join Kodi Smit-McPhee in the coming-of-age story about a Portland boy dealing with the absence of his father. She'll take on the role of Val, with no additional details on the character revealed at this point. The whole production seems to be a little under wraps at this point, but that will likely change as production begins next month.

Fuhrman's had a pretty big year as she played one of the Career Tributes in The Hunger Games, and she just finished filming After Earth with Will Smith and M. Night Shymalan.
