Trailer for 'All Together' with Jane Fonda and Daniel Bruhl

Jane Fonda's only made a handful of movies in the 2000s, but she's been all over the place lately. I loved her turn as a vicious media mogul on Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom, and she was surprisingly good in the otherwise terrible comedy, Peace, Love and Misunderstanding. I'm dying to see how she portrays Nancy Reagan in Lee Daniels' The Butler, and now Fonda's giving us something else to get excited over.

With the film finally arriving here in the U.S. after a run in France, a new trailer for the ensemble comedy All Together has been released. Directed by Stéphane Robelin, the film marks Fonda's first foray into French cinema since Jean-Luc Godard's Tout Va Bien way back in 1972. Starring Daniel Bruhl, Geraldine Chaplin, Pierre Richard, and Guy Bedos, the story follows five retirees who decide to move in together after one suffers a heart attack, with all sorts of old grudges and petty jealousies emerging as a result. Bruhl plays a young grad student researching the lives of France's elderly population.

This looks like a fairly entertaining crowd-pleaser that will be targeting the same audience as The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel did over the summer. I don't think this one will find that level of box office success, but I believe many will jump at the chance to see Fonda in a film like this again. She still looks great, by the way, and her French remains impeccable. All Together opens in theaters on October 19th. Check out the trailer below....
