Bradley Cooper in talks to join Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe's next film

With Silver Linings Playbook right around the corner and garnering some Oscar attention for Bradley Cooper, the actor is poised for the best run of his career. Of course he'll be running with the Wolfpack in The Hangover Part III next year, along with starring opposite Jennifer Lawrence again in Susanne Bier's Serena, and also has The Place Beyond the Pines with Ryan Gosling. And that's not even including working with David O. Russell on his next project. As great as his 2013 sounds, it's about to get even better.

Cooper is in talks to join Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe's untitled next film, which we learned last summer was his long-gestating Deep Tiki. Once set for Reese Witherspoon and Ben Stiller, the film centers on an ex-soldier turned military contractor who along with an uptight military liaison must secure the blessing of Hawaiian tribal elders before a satellite can be launched.

Silly plot? Absolutely, but the tone is said to be right in Crowe's emotional wheelhouse, and with Cooper and Stone he's got two likable stars that people will want to see together. Momentum is picking up on this one with filming set to begin next spring. [Deadline]
