Hugh Grant to star in Marc Lawrence's untitled romantic comedy

Hugh Grant will probably forever be known for his highly successful romantic comedies(well, and for this), and that's not likely to change even with him playing a bad guy of sorts in The Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas. Those who have been clamoring to see Grant in another one of his adorable cad rom-com roles won't have to wait much longer, as he's teaming up with the director of some of his biggest hits for a new project.

Grant will join writer/director Marc Lawrence's untitled romantic comedy, marking the fourth collaboration between the two, having worked on Two Weeks Notice, Music and Lyrics, and Did You Hear About the Morgans? All of them hits, I might add, even 'Morgans' which must have been dragged up from the pits of Hell it's so unwatchable. But hey, what do I know? The role sounds like something Grant can do in his sleep, playing a washed up award-winning screenwriter who must take a job teaching at a small East Coast college. Everything seems terrible until he meets that one special woman who will warm his heart and those of easily manipulated audiences. I threw that last part in, sorry.

Eh, people will turn out to see this regardless of who they cast in the female lead, so why bother to speculate?  Whatever this movie will be called begins shooting next April. I just find it funny that Lawrence has directed three hit feature films and written even more, and yet this is the first I've ever heard of him! What does that tell you? [Deadline]
