James Franco, Brit Marling, and Glenn Close to star in 'The Grace That Keeps This World'
Azazel Jacobs struck it big on the indie circuit last year with his unconventional coming-of-age dramedy, Terri. The film put his name in the minds of a lot of Hollywood big shots, and now his follow-up project has attracted a wealth of celebrity attention. Deadline reports that Glenn Close, James Franco, and Brit Marling(Sound of My Voice) have signed on to star in The Grace That Keeps This World, an adaptation of Tom Bailey's 2005 novel.
Based on a script by red hot scribe Matthew Aldrich(Father Daughter Time), the survival story is set in the Adirondack Mountains and centers on the patriarch of the Hazen family, who sees his relationship with his sons fractured due to long hidden secrets and a federal investigation into hunting violations.
Jacobs still seems to be finding his footing as a director, but a film with this level of talent is going to put him in the spotlight like never before. No word on when filming will begin, but considering Franco and Marling and currently busy with other projects, it will likely be next year.
