It's amazing to me just how much email I still get about those
first set photos from
Robocop, and it seems to me the verdict on his new design is pretty split. So today we have a pair of new shots that will probably stir the debate up again, as they give us a fuller look at Joel Kinnaman as the cyborg hero.
These images show the Robocop suit with the full helmet and visor, which retains some similarities to the original, but also I think kinda reminds me of the Cylons from
Battlestar Galactica. That's not to say it's bad, just an observation. Also, we get a look at the weapon Robocop will be using to blow away crime, which also is similar to the original. The curious thing to me are the human hands he retains, which I guess are a means of showcasing his humanity? I'm thinking it could turn out to be a plot point as the evil OmniCorp tries to sell Robocop to the public.
