Kevin Feige's words to the contrary, things are looking pretty serious for Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. His most hated enemy The Mandarin is looking to launch some sort of terrorist attack using a nano-virus, Pepper Potts(Gwyneth Paltrow) is in danger, and his buddy James Rhodes(Don Cheadle) is running around in the Iron Patriot armor. Oh, and Tony just thoroughly got his butt kicked in The Avengers. Time for an upgrade!
A new batch of photos have been revealed which give us a tighter look at the Iron Patriot suit, and if you look closely you'll see Rhodes' name on it so we know it's him in there. Also they provide our first glimpse of Rebecca Hall in the role of Maya Hansen, a scientist who helps develop the Extremis nano-virus that plays a major part in the story. Judging by the shape she's in, along with that shot of a damaged Iron Man mask, I'm guessing she and Tony have some tough times ahead.
