New trailer for Roman Coppola's 'A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III'

Oh that Charlie. So selfish, self-absorbed, irresponsible, and an out-of-control liar to boot. Wait, are we talking about Charlie Sheen or Charles Swan III? Certainly there are going to be a lot of people connecting the dots between Sheen and the character he portrays in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, the long-awaited second film from director Roman Coppola(CQ). Regardless of those similarities, it's clear this is Coppola taking us on another odd, vintage journey that could prove to be a lot of fun.

Set in the 1970s, the film follows the titular graphic designer, a famous and irresistible playboy who sees his life torn asunder when his girlfriend leaves him. That gives him a chance to reflect on his own failings with the help of Bill Murray dressed in a cowboy outfit, and other assorted wacky characters. The look is a little too reminiscent of Wes Anderson, and it doesn't help that Anderson regulars like Murray and Jason Schwartzman are all over the place here, but the tone is whimsical and manic in a way that is uniquely Coppola. Much like with CQ, it looks like he's drawing upon a number of different influences.

Co-starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aubrey Plaza, Kathryn Winnick, and Patricia Arquette, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III opens on February 8th. Check out the new trailer below....
