* It's been approximately a year since Malcolm Lee revealed that a sequel to his much-loved romantic comedy The Best Man had been greenlit, and now today we've learned that Universal has set the untitled film for November 15th 2013. The Best Man is simply one of the best African-American comedies ever made, and fans have been clamoring for a follow-up ever since. It starred Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnut, Nia Long, and Sanaa Lathan as a group of old friends who reunite for a wedding, with lots of long-held feelings bubbling to the surface. Lee will write and direct, and the original cast are all expected to return. Can we get Lee off of Scary Movie 5 and just let him get started on this a little earlier?
* Way back in 2007 before all of his legal troubles began, Roger Avary(Pulp Fiction) had been set to write and direct a big screen adaptation of the popular 1st person shooter, Castle Wolfenstein. Now years later that deal is still in place, and Avary is back on the job as the project moves forward. The story follows a US Army Captain and a British soldier who invade Hitler's Castle Wolfenstein where they face off against his Paranormal Division.
* Simon West and Jason Statham just can't get enough of each other. After working together on The Expendables 2 and The Mechanic, the two are set to team up again on Heat, a remake of the 1987 Burt Reynolds film. Statham will take on the lead role of a gambling addict who heads to Vegas and takes on "personal security" jobs to feed his habit. His dreams of moving away to Venice are threatened when he must get revenge on the mob for brutally beating a friend.
